W. Gettleman: Lean Design Case Study - Dana Farber Cancer Institute

This presentation is a review of the Lean process and tools used during the planning & design   phases of Dana-Farber’s Yawkey Center for Cancer Care Project (2006-2011). We will first review the concept of “Lean Design” – defining it and reviewing many examples encountered during the programming, planning, and design of this $330M project that was delivered ahead of schedule and under budget.
